Vienna born mezzo-soprano Natascha Petrinsky, has already made guest appearances at the most important opera houses in the world. These include the La Scala Milano, the Teatro Real Madrid, the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie, the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Theater an der Wien, the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin, the Nederlandse Opera Amsterdam or the Bayreuther Festspiele.

In 2026 she will sing the Herodias in Salome at the Opera in Tel-Aviv.

In 2025 she sings the Main role of Blanche in the Oper “7 minuti” (Komp.: Battistelli) at Opera de Lyon and Die Dame in Grau in Kurt Weill Singspiel Happy End at Scala in Mailand.

In 2024 she sang Kostelnicka (Jenufa) at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, Adelaide in Arabella at Opernhaus Bern and Duchesse de Crakentorp in La Fille du Regiment at Opernhaus Bari.

In 2023 she sangMrs Sedley (Peter Grimes) at La Scala Milano, Pelageja Grigorjewna Podtotschina (Nos) at La Monnaie Brussels and Kabanicha (Káťa Kabanová) at Opera Lyon.

In 2022 she sang, among other things, the role of the Marquise de Berkenfeld (Fille du Regiment) at the Teatro Reggio di Torino.

In 2021 the innkeeper (Boris Godunow) in Monte Carlo, Maria Akrossimova (War and Peace) at the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Ericlea in Il Ritorno d’Ulissse in Patria at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino (directed by Carsen), Countess Geschwitz (Lulu) at the La Monnaie Brussels and the role of Kostelnicka (Jenufa) at the Teatro de la Maestranza, Seville.

Recent engagements in 2019 and 2020: Héloïse Aue (Les Bienveillantes) at the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, Antwerp, the role of Jezibaba (Rusalka) at the Theater an der Wien, Beethoven’s IX. Symphony at the Gewandhaus Leipzig conducted by Daniele Gatti.

Adelaide (Arabella) at the Oper Leipzig, the Wirtin/Abbess (Fiery Angel) at the Theater an der Wien(cancelled due to Covid, postponed to March 2021), the role of Kostelnicka (Jenufa) at the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, Antwerp (cancelled due to Covid). Also Mila’s Mother in Destiny in Brno, directed by Carsen.

Her most important roles include Countess Geschwitz, Eboli, the title roles in Carmen, Phaedra (Henze) and Penthesilea (Dusapin), Verdi roles such as Amneris, Azucena and Maddalena, Judith and Wagner roles such as Kundry, Venus, Brangäne, Wellgunde, Fricka and Waltraute . She also sang roles such as Hannah (La Lumière Antigone, Bartholomée), Klytämnestra, Lucy Barker (Sweeney Todd), Fuchs (Das Schlaue Füchslein), Jocaste, Miranda (The Tempest, T. Ades) or Mère Marie (Dialogues des Carmélites).

She has worked with renowned conductors such as G. Sinopoli, R. Muti, J. Tate, D. Gatti, I. Metzmacher, R. Chailly, G. Dudamel, C. Eschenbach, H. Graf and H. Haenchen and can look back on collaborations with orchestras such as the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra and the German Symphony Orchestra.
