Ukrainian dramatic tenor, Leonid Shoshyn, has astonished audiences across the world with his heroic voice and passionate portrayal of operatic characters.
As a soloist with the Odessa National Opera in Ukraine, Shoshyn performed an extensive repertoire of dramatic tenor roles including Cavaradossi in Puccini’s Tosca; Canio in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci; Manrico in Verdi’s Il Trovatore; and Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly.
He has also graced the stages of Deutsche Oper Berlin, Hague National Opera, Municipal Theater De Domijnen, and Aalto Theater Essen.
Last year, Shoshyn made his United States debut in the role of Prince Calaf in Puccini’s Turandot at the Gulfshore Opera in Florida, to great acclaim.
Shoshyn completed his training at the Odessa National Music Academy Named After A. V. Nezhdanova, and Akademia Operowa: Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa.
