Nutsa Zakaidze was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, a country where polyphonic singing is part of everyday life. Raised in a musical environment, she attended the Tbilisi Conservatory, earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
During her years of study, she performed as Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Carmen (Carmen), and Maddalena (Rigoletto). She later appeared on the stage of the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre in the roles of Flora (La Traviata), Mercedes (Carmen), Lola (Cavalleria Rusticana), and Charlotte (Werther). Among the leading roles of the Georgian repertoire, she distinguished herself as Natela (Abesalom and Eteri) and Barbale (Keto and Kote).
Her training continued at the Accademia d’Arte Lirica di Osimo, where she received the Konstantini and Alessandrini scholarships. One of the most important milestones of her career was her debut at the Rossini Opera Festival as a participant in the Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda”, followed by concerts with the G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra and the Marche Philharmonic Orchestra in the projects “Bienvenue chez Rossini”, “From the Beatles to Rossini”, and Wesendonck Lieder.
At the Teatro delle Muse in Ancona she performed the roles of Camilla (Giovedì Grasso) and the Third Lady (The Magic Flute), while at the Teatro della Fortuna in Fano she interpreted Isaura (Tancredi) for the Rossini Opera Festival. Her international career expanded with the first prize at the Nuits Lyriques de Marmande Competition (France) and her participation in the Immling Festival (Germany) as Fenena.
In chamber repertoire, she brought her voice as a soloist to Brahms’ Liebeslieder Walzer, alongside Monica Leone and Michele Campanella, at the “Incontri Asolani” Festival. She recently performed Melibea at the Ljubljana Opera House (Slovenia) and at the Piccolo Opera Festival (Gorizia – Italian Capital of Culture 2025).
Among her oratorio performances are Stabat Mater by G.B. Pergolesi, the Mass in B minor and St. John Passion by J.S. Bach, the Messiah by G.F. Handel, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and Missa Solemnis, Rossini’s Stabat Mater, and others, performed on major European stages.
Nutsa continues to refine her artistry as an opera singer, bringing her talent to international stages with growing maturity and refined musical sensitivity.
