Elena Zelenskaya is one of the leading sopranos at the Bolshoi Theatre’s Opera Company. Prize-winner of the Rimsky-Korsakov’s International Voice Competition (First Prize) and Glinka National Competition (Second Prize), she has a very tense calendar of performances and tours in Russia and abroad.
In 2022 she will sing Domna Ivanovna Saburova in Die Zarenbraut at the International Opera Festival of Vocal Music ‘Opera Apriori’ and Cite de la Musique - Philharmonie, Paris.
She performed Gorislava in Glinka’s "Ruslan and Liudmila" in Italy and in the USA at Lincoln Center, in Munich and Paris she performed the part of Queen Elizabeth in Donizetti’s "Maria Stuarda". She also featured in a Gala Concert in Carnegie Hall in 1994. As a soloist at Vienna Chamber Opera, Elena Zelenskaya performed Donna Elvira in "Don Giovanni" and Countess in "Le nozze de Figaro" at Mozart Festival in Schönbrunn.
Elena Zelenskaya performs a wide Verdi’s repertoire: as Lady Macbeth, she made a very successful debut at Stadtheater of Luzern (Switzerland) in a new production of "Macbeth". She also appeared in this part at Minnesota Opera (USA), and at Tel Aviv Opera in Israel, in Cologne (Germany ), in Bolshoi Theatre (Moscow), in Athens Opera Festival (Greece ). At Wexford Festival Opera she sang Stefana (Siberia) by Giordano. Elena Zelenskaya is the first Russia's Wally of Catalany.
At the International Opera Festival in Savonlinna (Finland) and at Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, in Tel-Aviv (Cesarea Festival), Metropolitan Opera (N .Y) she sang the part of Leonora in "La forza del destino". At Deutsche Oper Berlin, Deutsche Oper am Rhein and San Diego Opera (USA) she sang the title role in "Aida". She performed the title role in "Tosca" at Royal Opera in La Monnaie in Brussels, Scottish Royal Opera, in Edinburg Opera Festival and in Deutsche Oper Berlin. Besides, she performed the part of solo soprano Verdi’s Requiem at Lubliana International Festival and at San Diego Opera, Los-Angeles Filarmonic (War Requem) with maestro A.Papano. She was very successful as Mimi in "La Boheme" at Grand Opera Liceo in Barcelona and as Amelia in "Un ballo in maschera" at Metropolitan Opera where she sang together with Placido Domingo , in Opera Mannheim and Frankfurt Opera. Besides, she participated in the new production of "Andrea Chenier" with New Israeli Opera , in Teatro Sociale di Rovigo, in Trento and Livorno ( Italy). In Prokofiev’s "Maddalena" in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Lady Macbeth in Cologne , Seattle Opera (U.S.A), New Israeli Opera, and Opera De Nice; in Madrid, Rahmaninov "The Bells" with Bolshoi.
She sang Odabella in " ATTILA" in Tel-Aviv Opera and in La Fenice (Venezia) with Marcello Viotti, Abigaile in " Nabucco" - Odense (Danish ) with M. Yurowski , in Tel-Aviv Opera and in Athens Opera Festival (Greece). As Francesca she sang ("Francesca da Rimini") in Utreht ( Holland) , as Elizabeth da Valois (" Don Carlo") in Cologne , Desdemona (Otello) in Tallinn Opera. In Melbourne (Australia )- as Minnie ("La Fanculla del West"), as Giaconda ( "Giaconda ") in Erfurt ( Germany )
