Biographie / biography

Louise Leterme began her musical and vocal training at the Maitrise de Paris then at the Higher Department for Young Singer of the CRR de Paris/Jeune Chœur de Paris. From 2013 to 2019, she studied opera singing at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität (MUK) in Vienna, Austria.

As part of stage productions at MUK, she performed the title role in Die schöne Galathée by F. von Suppé, the role of Princess Luise in Die Opernprobe by A. Lortzing and the role of Ännchen in a children's version du Freischütz by C. von Weber in collaboration with the Bühne Baden bei Wien.

In 2014, she made her debut at the Théâtre du Chatelet in Les Parapluies de Cherbourg by, and directed by Michel Legrand (directed by Vincent Vittoz) in the role of Madeleine.
In 2016, she participated in the recording of Bonsoir tout le monde around the poet Robert Desnos on original music by Vincent Bouchot, Jeff Cohen, Denis Chouillet, Chantal Galiana, Stéphane Leach and Vincent Leterme.

During the summer of 2017, as part of the Opus XXI Academy, Louise Leterme created, with the Instant Donné ensemble, two contemporary pieces by Bertrand Plé and Mioko Yokoyama (Trossingen (DE), Bregenzer Festspiel (AT)). She is also Soprano 1 in a new production of Sextuor or the origin of species by Georges Aperghis at the Musica Sacra Festival in Maastricht.

In 2018, she performed the roles of Philli and La Musique in Cupido Perfido and Les Plaisirs de Versailles by M. A. Charpentier with the Il Cuore Barocco ensemble at the Slovak Philharmonic in Bratislava. With the Neue Streicher ensemble in Vienna, she was the solo soprano in Handel's Messiah (Dec 2018) and in Pergolesi/J's Stabat Mater. S. Bach (April 2019).

In 2019, she was Ernestine in Monsieur Choufleuri will stay at home... by J. Offenbach (m.e s. Y. Coudray) on tour in France and Kazakhstan.

Also very interested Lied and Melody, Louise Leterme has been performing in this genre for several years at the Rencontres Musicales de Penmarch (Finistère) and from 2014 to 2019 as an active member of the Live Music Now Foundation (Yehudi Menuhin Foundation) in Vienna.

She participates in numerous Masterclasses and Academies where she receives advice from Mireille Delunsch, François Le Roux, Donatienne Michel Dansac, Elly Ameling, Sabine Vatin, Christian Ivaldi, Jeff Cohen, Susan Manoff, Graham Johnson, Charles Spencer, Julius Drake and Helmut German.

In May 2018 she won the first prize of the K.S. Gabriele Sima scholarship, then in November 2018 the first prize of the 31st Nico Dostal operetta competition in Korneuburg, Austria.
