Katia Pellegrino, in Galatone Lecce geboren, studierte Geige und Gesang am Konservatorium in Venedig sowie Gesang an der Akademie in Mantova.
Ihr Operndebüt gab sie als Musetta (La Bohème), gefolgt von den Titelpartien in La Traviata und Norma. Anschließend debütierte sie in Opern wie Il trovatore und Turandot (Rom), Luisa Miller (Brescia und Palermo), La forza del destino (Lima), Madama Butterfly (Brescia), Otello und Andrea Chénier (Sassari).

Internationale Konzerteinladungen führten sie u.a. nach Mailand, Prag und Tokyo. Sie gastierte u.a. auf den Bühnen in Lissabon, Modena, Neapel (Il trovatore), Parma und Catania (Norma), Palermo (Luisa Miller), Zagreb und Tokyo (Norma), Cardiff (La traviata , Il trovatore), Florenz (I Lombardi alla prima crociata) und bei den Bregenzer Festspielen (Il trovatore).

Aktuelle und zukünftige Engagemnets bis 2022/23: Neuproduktionen von „Nabucco“ und „Norma“ in Essen, „Macbeth“ in Basel, „Verdi Requiem“ in Lissabon, Norma und Abigail in Nürnberg, Abigail in Leipzig und Erfurt sowie Lady Macbeth in Gent / Antwerpen und Luxemburg. „Edgar“, „Macbeth“, „Trovatore“, Tosca, Norma, Lucrezia Borgia, Abigail, Aida und die Titelrolle in „Florencia en el Amazonas“ in St. Gallen sowie Abigaille in Erfurt
