Jiří Rajniš (*1991) studied Dramatic Art at the Prague Conservatory and subsequently opera singing at the prestigious UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music in the class of Vladimir Chernov in Los Angeles. In the 2013/2014 season, he officially became the youngest Czech opera singer in a fest Engagement abroad, in Landestheater Coburg (Germany), where his recent roles include: Death (G. Holst: Savitri), Sylph, Grimbald´s Sylph, He, Aeolus, Comus (H. Purcell: King Arthur), Freddy (F.Loewe: My Fair Lady), Marchese (G. Verdi: La Traviata), Second Nazarene (R.Strauss: Salome), Peter Besenbinder (E.Humperdinck: Hänsel und Gretel), Bariton (G. Mahler: Der Welt abhanden gekommen),Schaunard (G.Puccini: La Bohéme), Ford (O. Nicolai: The Merry Wives of Windsor), Frédéric (L. Delibes: Lakmé), Aeneas (H. Purcell: Dido and Aenes), Bertley (R. V. Williams: Riders to the Sea) ect.

Mr. Rajniš became the Absolute Winner of Prague Singer 2008 singing competition, and was also a semi-finalist in the international Antonín Dvořák Competition Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad). He has appeared as a guest at the Musical Theater Karlin in Prague, the National Theatre Brno and has also worked with Childern - Opera Prague ect.

His debut as the youngest Czech "Don Giovanni" abroad took place in Sommer Oper Bamberg 2013. In New York City he was engaged as the cover of Belcore in "L´elisir d´amore by the "Martina Arroyo Foundation" , and he also participed in the Couch-Programme of the Metropolitan Opera. He has performed extensively on the concert platform in Germany and in the Prague Spring Festival, he colaborated also with the Bamberger Symphoniker (Bernstein-Peter Pan), ect.

In the season of 2016/17 he made his debut at the Prague National Theatre, and also in the title role of "Eugen Onegin" in the Pilsen - Tyl Theate.
After Luigi Bassi, the Giovanni at the opera´s Premiere in 1787, he wil be the youngest interpreter of the title role to appear on the stage of the Estates Theatre in Prague.

Since the beginning of 2017/18 Jiří Rajniš belongs to the Junge Ensemble of Semperoper Dresden and will here be seen as Schaunard (»La bohème«), Moralès (»Carmen«), Fiorello (»Il barbiere di Siviglia«), Erster Priester (»Die Zauberflöte«) and Trojanischer Soldat (»Les Troyens«) for the first time.
